Food and Formula
France is the world's largest consumer of pre-prepared babyfood so even your baby can enjoy the french culinary experience. From artichokes to aubergines you will find practically everything in purée form. There are also ready-meals for toddlers that are equally exciting although there's plenty of regular chicken and carrot combinations for picky eaters. Organic babyfood is available at the larger hypermarkets (Carrefour and Leclerc) and a hand-blender is provided if you want to take the DIY option.
Medical Facilities
A digital thermometer and standard children's medication for non-urgent cases is available on request. Doctor's appointments can be arranged and we can accompany you to translate if necessary.
Should you need it the french medical system is easily accessible. A doctor's apointment costs 20 euros and a home visit around 50 euros. Prescriptions are payable at full cost (and you will most definitely receive one as long as your arm if you see a doctor) so once again comprehensive travel insurance is a must.
