“We have stayed here 3 times over the last 2 years with our children aged between 6 months and 3 years old and it is the perfect place to have a long or short break for families with children. Accommodation in the Gîtes is of a really high specification and equipped with everything you would need. Good outdoor play area and one indoors should the weather not be so good. Lots of great walks near by and close by to Falaise and Caen and the D Day beaches for days out. The owners are really friendly and helpful. “It is in a lovely yet very convenient location – the gîtes are next to a stunning chateau among rolling fields and woodland, yet the boulangerie and hypermarket are only a few minutes’ drive away. The facilities are great – the playroom is big and very well-equipped for little. The gîte is comfortable and the downstairs room is light, airy and spacious. Upstairs the bedrooms are simply but pleasantly decorated. What really impressed us about DDLT was the attitude of the owners, Mark and Noelle. They gave the impression that they had really thought about what makes a difference to families with young children, and nothing was too much trouble (happily supplying us with a hosepipe to fill up our paddling pool). They have thought about lots of little touches – e.g. a book of excursion suggestions from other visitors, a set of bibs next to the steriliser, a meal delivery service from a local restaurant – which make a stay there all the more enjoyable and relaxing.
