Lisa

Hi! I’m Lisa, mum to Oliver (4) and Benjamin (2). Back in June 2016 (when there was just Oliver!), my husband and I booked a family holiday to Le Cottage at 4 Rue de la Dive. We had specifically been looking for a toddler friendly trip – and although the weather was pretty poor that week we had a wonderful time. Le Cottage was perfectly sized and packed with lots of toys and fab outdoor space (so important with an inquisitive and boisterous toddler!). Deirde and Peter were wonderful hosts and a particular highlight was the home-cooked meal that Deirdre delivered to us – we didn’t even have to do the washing up! Bliss.
I have kept in touch with Deirde since then and was delighted when she asked if I would write some posts for the Toddler Holiday website. I will be sharing tips, stories and bites of reality about our slightly chaotic life! I love being a mum but I definitely feel like every day we’re winging it… So I tend to reflect that when I write about family life. It’s not all hearts and flowers – sometimes it’s bodily emissions and sleepless nights and opening the wine earlier than you feel you should (it’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?). But while it might not be possible to cherish *every* moment, life with toddlers is hilarious, rewarding and full of joy. I look forward to sharing all of that with you.
